The new ŠKODA compact SUV is called the Karoq and was revealed in Stockholm on May 18th 2017 to the public for the very first time. The Karoq gets it’s name from the Alutiiq tribe – inhabitants of a southern Alaskan island whose tongue inspired the name for the Kodiaq.
The Karoq is available in 3 trim levels – SE, SEL and Editon. The middle model (SEL) is brimming with equipment including varioflex seats (as seen on the Yeti), heated front seats, Amundsen satellite navigation, 18″ Braga alloys, full LED headlights and a rear view camera. The top of the range Edition then adds a panoramic sunroof, gesture control, wireless phone charging box and blind spot detection.
The Karoq was voted “best family SUV £20,000 – £30,000” in the What Car? Car Of The Year 2018.
