Retailers enjoy Dublin craic in recognition of record breaking performances in 2012
The ŠKODA Retailer of the Year Awards were held at Convention Centre Dublin and was hosted by comedian Dara O’Briain, who provided plenty of laughs before handing out awards to the winning retailers. There were 9 categories with the most pretigious being ŠKODA Retailer of the Year 2012.
Simpsons ŠKODA Great Yarmouth scooped its fourth Retailer of the Year Award in five years which was collected by our Managing Director Andrew Aldis. Our Service Advisor, Jamie Nelson was also there to find out if he had won the ŠKODA Service Challenge. Unfortunately, he didn’t win but we are very proud of him. The celebrations had a strong Irish flavour including mouth watering local cuisine, toe-tapping tunes from an Irish folk band and traditional dancers – all set against the dramatic backdrop of the harp-shaped Samuel Beckett Bridge over the River Liffey.
“It’s been a terrific night from start to finish” said Brand Director Alastair Stewart. “We’re here to honour the stars of the ŠKODA network, but let’s not forget the record-breaking performances of all ŠKODA retailers in 2012. More than 50,000 cars were sold in the UK last year, and that is testament to the outstanding work of all ŠKODA retailers.”
Here’s what our Managing Director Andrew had to say “It’s amazing that we’ve won Retailer of the Year again. We have brilliant staff, many of whom have been with us for 25 years or more, including myself.”
