We held another successful charity Golf Day again this year. The event took place on Sunday 17th August at Caldecott Hall Golf Club. 80 Players took part on the day and despite the threat of rain, it turned out to be a glorious day.
Individual prizes were awarded for nearest the pins and longest drives, but the main winners were a couple from Caldecott, John Plane & Debbie Matthewson, dispelling the myth that couples don’t get along when playing golf! They came in with an amazing score of 42 points. Runners up were Bob Adams & Terry Allard and the winners of the non-active handicap prize were Steve Craft & Simon Thompson.
Proceeds from the raffle and auction raised an amazing £611, which will go to Willow’s Journey at the end of the year.
We would like to thank the additional sponsors, Kevin & Tanya Huggins (Fusion Hair Consultants), Mark Tungate (Caldecott Hall Golf Professional) and Laurence & Abigail Gage (Caldecott Hall) and Gary & Teresa Aldis and Terry & Mel for organising the event.
